What is the best parking payment app

Every car owner has experienced the troubles that come with parking a car. In the old days, after finally finding a parking spot, you still had to look for a working parking meter. Luckily, those days are over. With the possibility to pay your parking fee through an application on your smartphone, there is no need to physically find a parking meter anymore. Halleluja

In the Netherlands, there are 5 main providers, active in over 120 cities, that offer a parking app to digitally pay for parking. These five providers differ from each other in multiple ways but they all have the same benefit: you only pay for the actual parking time and not by the hour, like the old parking machines used to do. There is a small downside though that comes with this “parking innovation in payments”: every app charges an extra fee besides the standard costs for parking.

We want to help you find the best parking payment app for your needs and your parking habits. That is why we’ve compiled a list app five the pros and cons of the five biggest parking payment apps in the Netherlands. Finally, we’ve added our own conclusion on which of the apps is best in our opinion. Naturally, all the apps are available for Android and IOS.

Final note if you are an ANWB-member the ANWB app is very appealing by offering not only parking services but much more than that at a decent pricepoint. Contact your ANWB representative for more information on deals.
